◊ M. Sc. Chemistry

The courses in M.Sc. Chemistry includes theory papers supported by extensive practical work. The programme is designed by University to provide orientation towards chemical problems and issues through in-depth study (theory & practice). The syllabus is constantly under review and changes are made by the University as & when necessary.

Eligibility : Bachelor's Degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education i.e. B.Sc.(CBZ/PCM) or Equivalent Degree with Chemistry as main subject with at least 50% marks (SC/ST:45%).

◊ M. Sc. Biotechnology

This package, a two year (Four Semester), each Semester being of 06 months is an interdisciplinary M.Sc. Programme in Biotechnology. The programme is covered semester wise (4 Semester) with emphasis on the basics of allied disciplines & applications of Biotechnology, providing orientation towards the resolution of various related issues.

Eligibility : Bachelor's Degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education with Chemistry/Botany/Zoology or Microbiology or Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Genetics or B.Sc. MLT/MBBS/B.V.Sc. or B.Sc. (PCM) or Equivalent Degree in science.

◊ M.Sc. Microbiology

This course is also an interdisciplinary programme, and acts as a support system to the medical causes. The whole programme is covered in FOUR SEMESTER (each semester is of 06 months duration).

Eligibility : Bachelor's Degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education with Chemistry /Botany/ Zoology or Microbiology or Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Genetics or B.Sc. MLT /MBBS/B.V.Sc. or B.Sc. (PCM) or Equivalent Degree in science.

Eligibility : M.Sc. any subject /BCA/ MCA/M.Sc. IT/B.Sc. MLT/M.Sc, MLT/MBBS/ B.V.Sc./ B.Sc. (CBZ/PCM) or Equivalent Science Degree with 50% marks (SC/ST 45%).

◊ M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Chemistry (2yr.)

Eligibility : B.Sc. (CBZ/PCM) or equivalent Degree with chemistry as main Subject with at least 50% marks (SC/ST : 45%)

◊ M.Sc. Physics (with specialization in Biophysics/Electronic) (2yr.)

Eligibility : B.Sc. PCM or Equivalent Degree with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects with min 50% marks (SC/ST 45%)

◊ M.Sc. Botany (2yr.)

Eligibility : B.Sc. CBZ or Equivalent Degree with Botany as main subject

LIBRARY

A rich and a well equipped library housing required and new titles, periodicals, research journals and magazines meets the needs and demands of the students of life sciences including biotechnology microbiology etc., industrial chemistry including analytical chemistry and allied area(s); and the computer education including chemo metrics, informatics/ bioinformatics- the need of the hour in the fast changing world scenario.

New titles having latest information on the University course contents and allied area(s) are added regularly to this centre to update the knowledge of the students.

The students are free to consult the library for their ends. The trained librarians are available throughout the day and evening to assist the students making effective use of library resources.

Besides, the library education seminars are conducted during academic year to provide course specific overviews of the library services and resources. The lending facilities are available to the faculty, staff and the students.

The library provides reference, indexing, graphic and photocopying, customized Library Management Software facilities to help the students for their academic causes.

The institute has the highly qualified & experienced CORE and VISITING OR GUEST FACULTY AS WELL to justify the prescribed course content(s) and interact academically UCSTians

PLACEMENT CELL

The provision of placement assistance to the students is a part of the educational programme at the campus. The students are helped stay informed upon the availability of the openings, and the positions at different levels as per their qualification. The inputs on the information reaching the CELL are notified on the notice board well in advance giving sufficient time to the students for preparation for interview(s). The updating of information is a continuous process at the campus. The institute invites different business centres/houses/academic centres/hospital centres for participation in placement programme(s), and campus interview at this campus. The students' placement brochure is compiled with all necessary bio-data of the students (UCSTians), and made available to the employer(s) for consideration. Placement Cell Service are available during college hours.
